Hello All:
Decided to start my blog back up to keep everyone updated on my life for the next 6 months.
So I flew out early Friday AM- and made it to Japan by 2:15pm Saturday (Japan time- they are 13 hours ahead of us). I arrived at my hotel around 6pm and I was asleep by 7..haha
Having to stay in a hotel for 2 nights before my apartment is ready- Tomorrow I will go after work to check into my apartment. It is 321 sq.ft- Studio...stay tuned I will post some pictures in a couple of days so you can all check out my new pad.
After I woke up went to the continental breakfast...not really my style so I went walking and found a Starbucks. My sister Alison would however fit in perfect in Japan they always serve hard boiled eggs..When I saw everyone this morning it made me think of her and miss her
Yesterday was a rough day...I am going to miss everyone so much but I know each day will get easier. I am beyond blessed with the most amazing family and friends- I had more dinners, parties, etc before I left and please know I will be thinking of these times often.
Not much else to report on Day 1-But I will report back later in the week to let you know how my first day of work went.
Couple of Interesting Take-Aways
-Teenage girls in Japan love to put their makeup on in Starbucks...over and over again
-Japanese have their own sense of style- I have seen a lot of Polka Dots and Plaid, Fancy Lacy Shirt with Sweatpants
-There has to be like one million restaurants here in Tokyo-
Much Love
Karen
